The Board of Trustees and the staff of the Library invite everyone in Crenshaw County to visit and utilize the services and programs provided by the Luverne Public Library. Our collection includes adult fiction, non-fiction and large print books. Our young adult section contains books that appeal to ages 13 and above. The juvenile and easy book sections contain age-appropriate books that are easily identified for accelerated reading by color-coded stickers. We also offer a wide selection of adult audio books and DVDs for both children and adults. In addition to our in-house collection, we also offer on-line access to books and audio books through Libby. Libby offers books and e-books for adult, juvenile and young adult patrons to read on any device that has wi-fi access. We also provide access to Tumblebooks, an on-line source of books and activities for children. If a patron is searching for a book that is not available on-site or online, we offer Inter-Library loans. The only cost for this service is the return postage necessary to return the book to the lending library. For computer users, we have 13 patron computers in-house. Even persons with no library card can use the computers by showing a valid license or photo identification. Free wi-fi is available 24/7 both inside and outside the building. Be sure to like and follow us on Facebook to have the most up-to-date information on policy changes, events, programs and new holdings that have been added to our catalog. Thank you for choosing the Luverne Public Library.
