Child Policy

The Ashville Public Library encourages the use of our library and programs by children. However, library staff are not responsible for the care or supervision of children in the library, nor are staff responsible for the safety of children left alone in the library who may be targeted by predators. It is the responsibility of the child's parent or adult caregiver to supervise the child's activities in the library, to ensure the child's safety at all times, and to make sure the child's actions do not disrupt the library or other patrons.
