Rules for Summer Reading Program:
Anyone at any age can join the Summer Reading Program and collect badges. As a library, we encourage children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and siblings visiting from out of town to participate in the joy of reading!
The library also encourages patrons to submit pictures of themselves reading to Amy@NewtonLibraryMuseum.com for social media posts or tag Newton LibraryMuseum on Facebook!
To be eligible for the prizes:
1.You must be a resident of the Town of Newton, The Town of Pinckard, or Wicksburg Community. No purchase necessary.
2.You must have a library card and be of good standing. (Hint: your overdue fine can be zeroed out by volunteering as little as 1 hour).
3.Valid materials for the contest can only be books:
a)Checked out from the Newton Library
b)Books owned by the library (i.e. Storytime)
c)Books traded via the coupon in the sign-up goody bag
d)Volunteering to read at Storytime or listening to a book at Storytime.
Prizes for the contest are as follows:
Reading level 0-3rd grade: Dinosaur Floor Puzzle
Reading level 4th-7th grade: Mini Dinosaur Garden
Reading level 8th-12 grade: Mini Dinosaur Garden
Adults: Dinosaur Wind Chime
